Meet The Executive

Chairman - Nicolas Stramilos, CPP, CISM

Nicolas Stramilos is currently Senior Manager for Group Security within Crisis & Security Management for The Westpac Group. Nick has responsibility for the national retail & corporate security function. Within Nick's responsibilities are retail & commercial physical security, managing operations and major projects, managing a large contractor based security team and multiple service providers. As part of the Crisis & Security Management Team, Nick ensures the protection of Westpac customers, its people, buildings and assets. Nick has a number of academic qualifications and has been ASIS CPP Certified since 2002, but also attained the ISACA Certified Information Security Manager accredidation in 2008. Nick is also a founding member and Deputy Chairman of the Australian Security Medals Foundation Inc. In 2012 Nick will be Chairman of the Chapter for a third consecutive year.

Deputy Chairman - Andrew Wilson, CPP

Andrew has over twenty-five years experience in the design and implementation of entrance control systems. He was a founding Director of PMSI Group which was establised in 1990 and he successfully ran that business installing turnstile entry systems for sport stadia and other venues till 2003. In that same year he created Grand Entrance Control and imported Gunnebo equipment from the UK and Europe quickly becoming the largest supplier of entrance control equipment to corporate offices and government departments in Australia. In November 2008 Gunnebo Australia acquired Grand Entrance Control and Andrew was appointed the General Manager, Site Protection till November 2011. His contract has expired and he now works as a Security Consultant in this new company - Sporting Gesture.

Secretary - Scott Taylor, CPP

Scott has more than eighteen years experience in the security services industry. He has specialised in training and developent in disciplines including Security, Risk Management, Aggressive Behaviour Management and Defensive Tactics. Scott achieved his ASIS CPP Certification in July 2011. As the National Operations Manager for Exact Security, he has responsibility for the delivery of multi site quality service by several hundred security officers. His "hands on" approach includes regular visits to venues during their business times and regular communications with venue operators. Scott's effectiveness is enhanced by his highly efficient communication structure and his enthusiastic approach to researching the latest trends in security and general management.

Treasurer - Kurt Lozier, JP, CPP

Kurt is the current Manager of Security Services - Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific for American Express. Kurt has 23 plus years of experience in security with a diverse skill set. He has worked on both sides of the industry representing the provider and the customer. Having operated his own business in security electronics and manpower and having worked for some of the largest system integrators, manufacturers / distributers in a variety of roles. Kurt holds several qualifications in security, risk management, security operations, electronics, management and the coverted CPP accreditation since 2003. Kurt also supports the business and community as a Justice of the Peace.
